• Safe, Secure, Engaging and Fun:

Children of African heritage can explore and better understand their adoption and race experiences while having fun.

  • Learning and Teaching Together:

Educate parents, kids and community on issues of identity and attachment by offering gatherings, educational workshops, seminars and counseling.

  • Building Community:

To develop and promote better understanding of the experience of our children.

  • Strengthening Families:

Family enrichment programs with specific regard to the needs of children of African heritage.

Since the origins of Harambee with two families camping together in 1996, we have strived to place the education and happiness of children squarely at the centre of our efforts. We do this by cultivating a welcoming environment for transracial families of African diaspora heritage during our week long summer festival. More detail on our organization can be found on our purpose page within about us.
