Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at 04:53:10 PM (EST) - Eastern Standard  Haiti earthquake occurred in the boundary region separating the Caribbean plate and the North America plate. This plate boundary is dominated by left-lateral strike slip motion and compression, and accommodates about 20 mm/y slip, with the Caribbean plate moving eastward with respect to the North America plate.

As a temporary measure, I am dedicating our site to the families from our camp who have ties to Haiti.

My wife and I have 5 children adopted from Le Fondation pour les Enfants d'Haiti (FEH) and this is very close to our hearts.  There are other orphanages where our Harambee family have visited, adopted from or have family working at. 

If you have information about the place that holds your heart in Haiti, I will gladly publish it here for you to share with all you can.
